Emma is the artist maker behind Red Mouse. She creates contemporary, nature inspired artwork, prints and textiles. Emma is passionate about British plants and animals and these often appear as repeating motifs in her work. Emma works with lino to carve out patterns incorporating birds and animals in their local habitats. She designs these as stand-alone artwork and repeat patterns for wall hangings, fabric and wallpaper.

She is currently working on a series of hand drawn bird illustrations called ‘The Red List’. Highlighting conservation and biodiversity, Emma’s detailed pencil drawings are of birds that are found in West Yorkshire but are in need of urgent protection – such as Curlews and Lapwings.

‘Forest Friends’ is Emma’s collection of bespoke cushions. Each design is printed by hand on organic cotton, they are then hand embroidered, stuffed with local wool from happy sheep from Yorkshire and backed with organic cross weave cotton.
