The Delight and Magic of Drawing with Dorothy Ann Simister

£65.00

Saturday 28th January 10am to 4pm

An exploration of drawing through observation.

In this day-long session we will try to learn to draw by observation and acquire a feeling for line, tone, space and seeing a little differently. We will handle and tame easels and drawing boards, finding the best position for drawing. Our experience will cover several different mediums; pencil, charcoal, chalks and oil pastels. Improving how we hold a pencil to draw instead of writing.

We will tame our desire to draw what we know rather that what we are actually seeing, beginning to learn to observe in a different way.

We will be working from several still life set ups and possibly use ourselves and our possessions as subjects. By the end of the day I hope you have a taste, delight and experience in the magic of drawing.
