Natural Drawing Workshop with Sally Barker
Saturday 29th July 10am to 4pm
A large table will be papered, as well as some wall space down to the floor.
We will draw and paint together, looking at natural plant forms and using natural inks as well as more traditional ones.
We will explore lots of ways of drawing, painting & printing these natural resources - from drawing round the plants to using observational skills, printing and drawing repeat patterns and mandalas by drawing round the flowers and leaves.
We will make some of our own inks using red cabbage/beetroot/onion skins/ turmeric etc
And look at parts of the plants through mini-microscopes, look at pre-prepared slides of plant cells and prepare our own slides to draw from.
